Pentacle birch wood incense burner ~ for both sticks and cones ~ with rose quartz and rubellite crystals. This is a collaboration between myself, Mystic Earth, and Trevor Hope Pyrography.
The incense burner was hand carved by Trevor Hope Pyrography from a birch wood branch. It has two holes for stick incense and a metal tray for cone incense. I sculpted wood and foliage adornments holding on the rose quartz, and around the rubellite crystal on the base of the metal tray. Both pieces are glued to the wood with industrial strength adhesive. I used a high quality polymer clay that is chip resistant to sculpt the piece. The metal tray is the cone incense holder, as to not burn it directly on the wood causing damage. The triple moon is painted with acrylic paints. The entire burner is sealed with many layers of a protective gloss varnish to keep it from being damaged by the incense, and also to allow an easy clean up of the ashes.
The Pentacle is a symbol of protection representing the five elements in harmony: spirit, air, earth, fire, and water. It has many meanings and uses to different people and in various cultures.
